"Who am I?"
"What is life's purpose?"
"How does one fulfill said purpose?"
These are the questions that have scratched at the backdoor of the human brain since our inception, so thankfully I don't feel alone in my quest. I'm not sure what this blog is going to become over time, or whether or not there is going to be any kind of secondary post. In my mind it doesn't matter. From what I've gathered, life is about embracing uncertainty and being malleable enough the react to each moment as it comes. Thus I'm extremely excited to see where this leads.
During my adventures as a young adult I've become especially interested in the Buddhist and Hindu cultures. I'm always on the lookout for new and exciting ways to practice these ideals in an era and region that is essentially their antithesis.
I don't think I'm alone in saying my iPhone has become a part of who I am and at first this might seem anti-Buhhdist, but let us take a moment to consider what the iPhone allows me to do. It allows me to stay in touch with those close to me in a multitude of different ways and it doesn't matter whether the individual is a hundred miles away or right next door. So it was only natural for me to check my iPhone first when I went searching for ways to practice my spirituality on a daily basis. Upon doing so I stumbled across a very interesting app. The app is called "Transform Your Life: A Year of Awareness Practice" by Cheri Huber and for the last 7 days it has been reminding me how important it is to remain aware and conscious of my actions and how a single individual can influence the world around them.
This brings me to by main point. I've started keeping a document of what each day has been giving me and I'd like to share them with you. In return, I'd like to hear your opinions, your ideas, your perceptions. Talking about these ideas is one of the best ways to discover answers. Will you join me?
P.S. For other articles and insights of this kind I highly recommend http://thedailylove.com. Young spiritualists share their thoughts and experiences.
